Fiona's previous roles have been in the area of environmental monitoring. This included numerous mines and all that is required via legislation on a mine-site.
Some of the sampling included groundwater, potable, sewage, dams, and dust. A favourite is the Macroinvertebrate monitoring which is a requirement by various mines. Fiona has also worked with Landcare involving the community in various projects and also DERM, where among other roles she processed vegetation clearing applications and PMAVs.
