Chris Wright

Chris is a Mackay local who spent the first 25 years of his life on a cane farm on Homebush Road, Rosella. Chris has over 25 years’ experience in the accounting industry, with many clients in the mining services, primary production, small business, and large licensed club’s area. Chris has a Bachelor of Business, is a fellow of the Certified Practicing Accountants Australia and is a registered company auditor.

Chris was appointed a partner of Brown and Bird in July 1999 and continues in this position to this day. Chris as senior partner is responsible for all aspects of the business as well as his diverse client base.

Chris is also the current chairman of RACQ CQ Rescue, a role which he has held for the past four years having been a board member since 2005. Chris is also current deputy chair and chair of the finance and audit committee of Whitsunday Anglican School Limited. He holds positions as an advisory board member to Brown and Bird clients that are in mining services business. Chris has also been a past committee member of several sporting and community organisations including Port of Mackay Rotary Club. He has a high level of community involvement and service and looks forward to continuing this involvement in the future.

Chris has extensive experience in small business operations and management in a diverse range of industries.
