Trent is an aquatic ecologist who has worked for more than ten years in the fisheries field, in both consulting and research capacities.
Trent’s diverse expertise covers management of the design, construction and monitoring of fishways and major fish ecology projects. Trent has been heavily involved in the research and monitoring of the ecological impacts of fish stocking and pest fish biology (for example, Tilapia). Trent specialises in ecology and integrated management, ecological baseline and rehabilitation monitoring and water quality assessments, as well as aquarium-based fish physiology research. His strong connections with industry, government and NRM stakeholders allow him to effectively plan, develop, assess and manage freshwater habitats, fish barrier and fishway research, policy and management strategies, codes and guidelines.
